"I photograph dogs so that their portraits reflect what only you know about them. I don’t look for the perfect pose. I look for character, presence, and connection."

My name is Veronika, and I am a professional pet photographer.
I mostly photograph dogs, but it doesn’t matter if my subject is a dog, a cat, a horse, or any other animal model.
What matters is creating a space where they can truly be themselves.
I am always looking for that connection, peace, and the kind of moment you’ll want to return to years from now.
For me, photography was never about poses or perfection.
It’s about observing, waiting, and knowing when to take a step back.

The Journey to Photography
Photography has been my companion since childhood. I still remember the first moments in the darkroom, watching an image slowly appear on paper. Since then, I’ve known that photography isn’t just about gear, it’s a way to capture something that will never happen again.
I found my way to animal portraits through my first dog, Nabu. She was the one who showed me that animal photography isn’t about technique, but about patience, respect, and the ability to adapt to their pace.

Every dog has their own personality.
My job is to capture it.

My Approach
I choose environments where the dog feels natural. I don’t work with pressure or forced commands.
Photoshoots flow without pressure. Often in the form of a walk, conversation, or silence.
It’s important to me that the process is enjoyable for both the dog and their human.
It shouldn't be a performance, but shared time. That is when photographs with depth and lasting value are born.

Who is my work for?
I photograph for people who see their pets as cherished family members.
For those who want photographs to return to for year.
Not just pretty pictures for social media.
This is not an ordinary photoshoot.
And it is not for everyone.

When I’m not shooting, I’m usually in nature with my two border collies.
They are the ones who taught me patience, sensitivity,
and the fact that the most beautiful moments cannot be rushed.
